I am a second year graduate student. My Informatics BS included an emphasis in Human Computer Human Interaction and a minor in Civic and Community Engagement. I’ve had the honor to be awarded a Brython Davis Fellowship for 2017; Nation Science Foundation GRFP Honorable Mention in 2016; UCI Competitive Edge Fellowship in 2015; ACM’s Women in Computing Scholarship in 2014; SURF-IT Fellowship in 2014; and the Kenneth Simms Endowed Memorial Scholarship in 2013.

proSTEM identity development in playful learning contexts

My current three-year study uses ethnographic methods including participant observation and open-ended interviews to examine the lived practices of facilitators of pro-science, engineering, technology and mathematics (STEM) identity development in playful learning contexts. If you are at least 18 years old, are a previous or current program or project facilitator within a playful learning environment, and are interested in participating in this study I would love to hear from you.
