Paul Dourish is Chancellor's Professor of Informatics and Associate Dean for the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences. He holds courtesy appointments in Anthropoloy and in Computer Science, and is an Honorary Senior Fellow in the School of Computing and Information Science at the University of Melbourne.
His research interests focus on social and cultural analysis of information sytems and the cultures of digital media. Recently, this has involved studies of innovation culture in India, China, and the United States; examinations His most recent book is "The Stuff of Bits: An Essay on the Materialities of Information", published by MIT Press in 2017.
