UBICOMP: The majesty of the ideas and the lyricism of the language

Bruce Sterling gave the opening keynote at UBICOMP 2006 on 9/17/2006 entitled, "Spime Meme Map". It was videocaptured and editted for the public and is distributed here. The introduction is made by Crista Lopes, and Paul Dourish faculty at UCI Department of Informatics, and Adrian Friday faculty at the University of Lancaster. Bruce begins speaking at 00:10:20. The talk is enclosed in the RSS feed, or click on the image on the left.

Major credit is due to Jeff Hughes of Intel Research Seattle/ University of Washington, etc. who burned many cycles putting this together. Thanks Jeff!

This is great. I'd also be very interested to see Yvonne Rogers' presentation, and the Q&A that followed - did anyone record that?

Thanks

This was the only semi-official video capture that happened at the conference. If anyone wants to send other video capture to post, just email it to Don (djp3@ics.uci.edu) and if it's decent quality, we'll post it.

I think Adrian also video'd a few sessions with the same equipment.
